DAVID GODFREY

Composer

Born in the UK, raised in Canada,  David began rockin’ at a young age.  Growing up in a musical family exposed him to many styles and genres, eventually following his brothers’ lead as a guitar player/singer.

After the usual start up bands and remote tours, David enjoyed success with the cover band Glider,  touring as a supporting act for the Mama’s & Papas, and The Platters, and opening for acts such as Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Kansas, and George Thorogood. David also took on the role of Brian May in the Queen tribute band  Bohemian Rhapsody.

David attended Fanshawe College’s Recorded Music Production program, studying under Canadian Legend Jack Richardson, before completing an additional year in the newly formed Digital Applications program.  Upon receiving early graduation at the top of his class, Manta Eastern became his new home.   Over the next few years David had gigs playing guitar for Emm Gryner,  The Wish Factory, Doug Varty Band, and Perry’s Slice. In 2009 David joined the 80's tribute act Big Hair, before eventually moving to the west coast to concentrate on writing.
